Your role
As a Senior Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in leading our kitchen team to success by utilizing core competencies such as time management, effective communication, attention to detail, food safety knowledge, flexibility, leadership, food preparation skills, focus under pressure, physical stamina, and a refined palate.
Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen, the development of culinary staff, and the delivery of exceptional dining experiences.
This role is available for a 24-month contract (extension possible).

Your area of responsibility
Lead shift operations end-to-end: production efficiency, food quality, food safety, and workplace safety
Mentor and develop kitchen supervisors, driving their operational capability and leadership growth
Manage staffing continuity across planned and unplanned absences to keep production uninterrupted
Conduct performance reviews, feedback sessions, and disciplinary processes in line with HR and company policy
Own the shift handover process, maintaining clear cross-shift communication and resolving bottlenecks before they escalate
Coordinate kitchen throughput on an hourly basis, prioritizing tasks to meet service deadlines
Enforce SOPs, GMP standards, and food safety protocols — no exceptions
Escalate issues to the right function promptly: Equipment issues → Maintenance/ Supply gaps → Procurement/LogisticsFood safety concerns → FSQA HR/conduct matters → Human ResourcesMajor operational blockers → Area Manager / Department Head
Your profile
Hands-on culinary leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen
Strong people management skills — coaching, feedback, and accountability
High attention to detail in food preparation, recipe adherence, and quality standards
Decisive under pressure, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Clear communicator across teams and departments
Deep knowledge of food safety and GMP requirements
