About The Role Motional is seeking an experienced Staff Front End Engineer to join its Web Visualization Tooling team. This pivotal role involves leading the development of critical web tooling and visualization systems that enhance feedback loops for machine learning (ML) engineers and improve the performance, scalability, and adaptability of our autonomous vehicle systems. The ideal candidate will drive the establishment of cross-team standards and best practices for web development, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely delivery of high-quality solutions. You will architect and scale a modern frontend ecosystem utilizing React, TypeScript, and Vue, working closely with ML, UX, data services, and data annotation teams to develop intuitive, mission-critical UI systems tailored for complex, data-heavy workflows. Your expertise will help design and implement user-facing applications that prioritize excellent user experience and usability, all while maintaining a focus on performance and maintainability in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
