The team prioritizes rapid experimentation, learning, and shipping improvements quickly. ## About the Role Close is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join its Growth team and build experiences that help new customers understand, adopt, and gain value from the product faster. This role combines advanced frontend engineering with experimentation, analytics, and AI-powered interfaces. You will work on agent-forward onboarding, unstructured-data experiences, conversion and activation flows, and other product surfaces across the Close platform. You will have significant ownership and autonomy, helping shape how frontend engineering operates within the Growth team while collaborating across the broader product and engineering organization. ### Key Responsibilities * Build agent-forward onboarding experiences that use AI to demonstrate product functionality and guide customers through workflows. * Develop interfaces that make AI agents feel like interactive trainers rather than traditional chat interfaces. * Build customer experiences around unstructured-data pipelines that transform information such as email content into CRM records. * Create trustworthy interfaces for detected deals, contacts, and customer data generated from connected sources. * Design and implement experiments that generate meaningful product and customer insights. * Determine what data should be captured and define appropriate funnels and metrics for experiments. * Use Amplitude to implement and manage experimentation analytics end to end. * Develop experiences across onboarding, activation, billing, imports, and other product surfaces. * Move quickly from prototypes to customer-facing experiments and help determine which solutions should become permanent product features. * Standardize, refine, and improve successful experiments after initial learning is captured. * Help shape frontend engineering practices and processes within the Growth team. * Collaborate effectively with other engineers and teams while working with a high degree of autonomy. ### Required Qualifications * Strong professional experience as a frontend engineer. * Advanced experience with React and modern frontend development. * Ability to work across different frontend technologies and select appropriate tools for specific problems. * Experience designing and implementing product experiments. * Understanding of experiment instrumentation, conversion funnels, and meaningful product metrics. * Experience building AI-powered interfaces for real users. * Experience with LLM-backed features and understanding of how to design for streamed responses, uncertain states, and agent-driven interfaces. * Comfortable using AI development tools as part of everyday engineering workflows. * Strong ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and make informed technical decisions. * Builder-oriented mindset with a focus on shipping, learning, and continuous improvement. ### Preferred Qualifications * Experience working with Vue, Svelte, Solid, or other modern frontend frameworks. * Experience implementing B2B experiments in Amplitude. * Experience with AI agents and agent-driven user interfaces. * Experience with unstructured data and AI-powered data extraction workflows. * Familiarity with TypeScript. * Experience with Vite. * Experience with CSS Modules. * Experience with Storybook. * Experience with Playwright. * Experience with WebSockets. * Familiarity with agent and LLM technology stacks. ### Technology The role will work with technologies including: * TypeScript * React * Vite * Amplitude * CSS Modules * Storybook * Playwright * WebSockets * AI and agent technologies ### Work Arrangement This is a 100% remote position available to candidates located in the United States. Close operates as a fully remote organization, with engineers collaborating across teams and locations.
