Ayr Wellness is focused on building a strong, collaborative workforce and creating opportunities for employees to make a meaningful impact while developing their careers in a fast-moving and evolving industry. ## About the Role Ayr Wellness is seeking a Front-End Web Developer to design, build, and maintain high-quality user-facing web applications. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Applications, you will develop high-performance and scalable applications using the Next.js framework while collaborating closely with marketing teams, designers, product managers, and back-end developers. The role focuses on creating responsive, accessible, secure, and optimized digital experiences across devices and browsers. ### Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain responsive web applications using modern front-end technologies. * Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, functional, and accessible code. * Design, develop, and manage scalable web applications using Next.js. * Implement and optimize web performance, SEO, and security features for Next.js applications. * Collaborate with designers, product managers, marketing teams, and back-end developers to deliver seamless user experiences. * Optimize applications for speed, performance, scalability, and reliability. * Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness across supported environments. * Troubleshoot and debug issues across multiple environments and devices. * Maintain code quality through development best practices, peer reviews, testing, and documentation. * Stay current with emerging front-end technologies, frameworks, and industry trends. * Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. ### Required Qualifications * 5+ years of professional experience in front-end web development or a similar role. * Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+). * Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Next.js, or Vue.js. * Strong understanding of server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and SEO best practices. * Familiarity with Git and other version control systems. * Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility. * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. * Ability to troubleshoot and debug effectively. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Demonstrated portfolio of responsive, production-quality web applications. * Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. ### Preferred Qualifications * Experience with TypeScript. * Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services. * Knowledge of modern build tools such as Webpack or Vite. * Experience with front-end testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress. * Understanding of web accessibility standards, including WCAG. * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred. * Equivalent combinations of education and professional experience will be considered. ### Work Arrangement This position may operate in a standard office or remote work environment.
