Software Engineer A fantastic opportunity for Software Engineers to join a highly innovative technology company at the forefront of advanced AI research and development. Working as part of a world-class engineering team, you will help design and develop cutting-edge software solutions that tackle complex real-world challenges. This role would suit Software Engineers with strong expertise in either Python, TypeScript/Rust and/or Golang who are looking to work on technically challenging projects within a research-driven environment. Location: Cambridge office available (minimum 2 days per week in office) Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 basic per annum + comprehensive benefits package, including private health for family, enhanced pension, etc. Requirements for Software Engineer: Strong commercial software engineering experience with ONE or more of Python, TypeScript, Rust or Golang / GoFor Python-focused candidates, strong understanding of Python concepts such as decorators, generators, context managers and multithreadingFor TypeScript, Rust or Golang-focused candidates, good working knowledge of PythonExcellent understanding of modern software engineering principles and practicesExperience developing high-quality, production-ready softwareStrong academic background, including a degree in a STEM subjectExperience with DockerExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsComfortable tackling complex technical problems where there may not be an established solutionAbility to work both independently and within collaborative engineering teamsAn interest in complex technical challenges, data-driven systems and emerging technologiesExperience with cloud environments, Git, CI/CD, JavaScript, C++ or additional languages from the above technology stack would be beneficial but is not essentialResponsibilities for Software Engineer: Design, develop and enhance innovative software products and platforms, working primarily with Python, TypeScript, Rust and/or GolangContribute to both greenfield development projects and the enhancement of existing systemsPrototype new concepts and evaluate their technical feasibilityCollaborate with engineers, researchers and technical stakeholders across multiple disciplinesAnalyse complex technical problems and develop robust solutionsContribute to the continuous improvement of software quality, performance and scalabilityDevelop expertise across a broad range of technologies and technical domainsContribute to technical discussions and help shape engineering approaches and solutionsDepending on experience and expertise, provide technical direction, support other engineers and contribute to higher-level technical decisionsWhat the role offers: The opportunity to solve genuinely complex technical problems where there is not always an obvious or established solutionA high level of technical autonomy, with the freedom to explore new ideas and approachesThe opportunity to specialise in your core language or technology while working across a diverse and technically interesting software environment, including Python, TypeScript, Rust and Golang Applications: If you would like to apply for this unique Software Engineering role, then please send your CV via the relevant links!
