Mid-Level Full Stack Developer – C# / React | £45,000–£55,000, with flexibility for the right person | Battersea, London | Hybrid – around three days a week Use your development skills to help people when they need it most I’m working with a legal technology company that builds software for law firms. They’re now creating a new app for family lawyers who handle legal aid cases. These lawyers support people facing incredibly difficult situations, including domestic abuse and cases involving children. The legal aid process is complicated and creates a huge amount of administration. The software you build will make that process easier, giving lawyers more time to support the people who need their help. Why this could be a great move for you You’ll take ownership of a new product from its early stages through to a working application.You’ll help make the technical decisions, shape how the app works and see the direct effect of what you build. It’s a great opportunity for a mid-level developer who wants more responsibility and the chance to create something from scratch.You’ll work with two established developers and directly with an experienced family solicitor who understands legal aid inside out. He has already started prototyping his ideas and will help you understand the real problems the software needs to solve.It’s a small, approachable team where developers speak directly with the people using and shaping the product. What you’ll be doing Building a new legal aid application from scratchDeveloping the back end in C# and the front end in ReactTurning real problems faced by family lawyers into simple, useful featuresDemonstrating your work regularly and gathering feedback as you buildWorking closely with developers, product specialists and legal professionalsUsing Claude and other AI tools to help you develop more efficientlyReviewing and understanding AI-generated code before using it What they’re looking for You’ll need: At least two years of commercial development experienceStrong C# back-end experienceExperience working with React or another modern front-end frameworkThe confidence to take ownership of your work and make technical decisionsThe ability to explain technical ideas clearly to people outside developmentA practical approach to AI-assisted developmentAn interest in building software that solves meaningful, real-world problems You don’t need experience in legal technology or family law.
