Join a lean engineering team building high-performance financial trading infrastructure. You will own the lifecycle of automated market-making strategies, optimizing liquidity, responsiveness, and execution quality while working at the intersection of quantitative finance and systems engineering. The environment emphasizes mathematical rigor, deterministic behavior, extremely low latency, and shipping highly optimized software.

Highlights

High-impact opportunity at the intersection of quantitative trading and systems engineering, focused on low-latency infrastructure, automated liquidity strategies, mathematical precision, and highly optimized software.

Description

About Strix Lab Inc. At Strix Lab Inc., we are engineering high-performance decentralized forecasting infrastructure. We believe prediction markets are the ultimate truth aggregators. To achieve global scale, we’ve built our core Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) matching engine from scratch using Go to deliver maximum throughput and sub-millisecond execution. We are a lean, elite startup team. We don’t care about corporate hierarchy or arrogance; we care about deterministic execution, mathematical precision, and shipping highly optimized software. As we scale our ecosystem, we are looking for a Market Maker Developer to design, optimize, and run the automated liquidity strategies that power our books. The Role As our Market Maker Developer, you will own the liquidity lifecycle of our platform. You will sit directly at the intersection of quantitative trading and systems engineering. Your primary mandate is to ensure our prediction markets remain liquid, tight, and highly responsive to real-world events, while building out the tooling that allows external market makers to interface seamlessly with our core infrastructure. What You Will Do Strategy Implementation: Build, backtest, and deploy production-grade automated algorithmic market-making bots to seed continuous liquidity (tight bid-ask spreads) across all active prediction markets.SDK & Ecosystem Expansion: Maintain our existing TypeScript client SDK and take the lead on expanding our developer ecosystem by architecting native client SDKs in Python and Rust to support high-frequency institutional traders.Performance Optimization: Interface directly with our internal Go (Golang) order book. Optimize internal APIs, WebSockets, and data streams to ensure zero-lag execution and real-time order tracking.Risk & Inventory Management: Develop automated safety mechanisms to manage inventory risk, capital efficiency, and delta exposure on fast-moving, high-impact events (e.g., political elections, macroeconomics, pop culture).Data Indexing & Analysis: Build and maintain telemetry to monitor toxic flow, arbitrage gaps, and slippage metrics to continuously refine our pricing models. Who You Are (Requirements) The Systems Thinker: You possess deep production experience in Go (Golang) and TypeScript/Node.js.Polyglot Engineering Skills: You are proficient in (or highly eager to ship production-grade code in) Python and Rust for statistical modeling and low-latency client connectors.Trading System Intuition: You understand order book dynamics intimately (limit orders, market orders, order cancelation, execution queues, and WebSocket-based streaming feeds).Mathematical Foundations: You understand how binary options or prediction contracts expire (collapsing to $1.00 or $0.00) and how pricing curves shift as event deadlines approach.Startup DNA: You excel in an unstructured, highly technical environment. You are a self-starter who writes clear documentation, tests their own code rigorously, and values transparent communication. Nice to Have Experience building trading bots for decentralized order booksExperienced building a profitable automated trading bots / market-making botsFamiliarity with Web3 ingestion tools and indexing layers (e.g. handling raw EVM JSON-RPC events).
