About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting the Systems Engineering & Integration Contract (SEIC II).
This role involves working closely with the Air Force Mission Planning division, including the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) and Navy partners, to develop and maintain next-generation Mission Planning solutions.
As a key member of the DevSecOps team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing automated pipelines, deployment workflows, and security integration across complex environments.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience8+ years of software engineering experience in object-oriented programming languagesU.S.
Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearanceAbility to obtain a CompTIA Security+ (Sec+) certification within 30 days of employmentStrong background in developing, integrating, and troubleshooting web-based systems, APIs, and microservices architecturesMinimum of 3 years working within a DevSecOps environment and familiarity with DevSecOps best practicesExperience with version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket, including branching and pull request workflowsProficiency working in both Linux and Windows operating systemsShell scripting experience, particularly with BashHands-on experience with Kubernetes clusters (e.g., AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift, K3s, RKE2) and related applications like Kubectl, Helm, RancherExperience with Docker containerization, deployment, and debuggingAbility to work with cloud provider APIs for automated VM provisioning and configuration managementStrong troubleshooting skills across Kubernetes, containerized applications, virtual machines, and CI/CD pipelinesEffective communication skills for collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and external partners
Responsibilities
Design, develop, maintain, and debug advanced pipeline software supporting automated builds, deployments, quality gates, and testing workflowsProvide technical expertise for sub-projects related to software composition, configuration, deployment, and validation for user evaluation and automated testingCreate sophisticated pipeline automation, including custom quality gate logic and API integrations with industry-standard DevOps toolsDefine, implement, and improve DevOps processes and toolchain integrations to ensure reliable CI/CD across multiple environmentsDesign, configure, and maintain Helm charts, including advanced templating, deployment validation, troubleshooting, and optimization within KubernetesIntegrate, deploy, and troubleshoot microservices architectures across Kubernetes-based platforms such as K8s, K3s, RKE2Develop and enhance automated versioning, release management, configuration management, and environment provisioning capabilitiesImplement automated virtual machine provisioning, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle workflows using cloud APIsDiagnose and resolve complex issues across Kubernetes, containerized applications, virtual machines, and CI/CD pipelinesProvide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on DevOps best practices, deployment strategies, and troubleshooting approachesMaintain clear and proactive communication with internal teams, project leads, stakeholders, and external partners through various channelsInfluence project decisions by recommending technical approaches, assessing risks, and proposing process improvements to meet program objectives and quality standards
