As a WordPress Architect, you have experience working on large digital projects. You use advanced knowledge of PHP & JavaScript to create modular applications with a deep understanding of best practices. You are able to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues about technical and non-technical issues. You provide strategic advice to project stakeholders and work collaboratively with other departments and teams. You can translate client requirements into technical approaches while considering scope and budget. You help provide technical steer and leadership to the wider team, providing technical insights, advice and code reviews. You are a keen problem-solver and an active participant in strategic & technical discussions within the team. You take pride in your work, delivering successful projects through clear communication, organization and high-quality code. Responsibilities: Architecting complex custom WordPress solutionsAdhering to WordPress coding standards & best practicesCreating custom blocksAiming to solve complex problems and troubleshooting urgent issuesCollaborating with project managers and development teamProviding actionable feedback to managers and teammatesEstimating level of effort for project tasks Requirements: 3+ years experience of hands on WordPress development at an agency levelUse of Git (GitHub, Azure, GitLab) as well as dev ops tools such as GitHub Actions, Composer, or Buddy WorksKnowledge of hosting providers such as WP Engine, WPVIP, PantheonStrong communicator to technical & non-technical stakeholders including clients and 3rd party vendorsPerforming code reviews for peers giving constructive feedbackStrong communication - both technical and non-technicalIntegrating external services including payment processors, membership software, CRM's Nice to Haves: Agile & scrum experienceExperience working within an agencyExperience conducting code reviewsCreating headless WordPress - including Next.JSUsing composerWritten production-level ReactExperience of testing - including CypressContributing to Open Source projects - including WordPressWorking with Gutenberg & custom blocksExperience integrating with 3rd party APIsRemote working experienceExperience mentoring and leading a team Americaneagle.com provides its employees with an energetic work environment and opportunities to further develop their skills. The US-based salary range for this full-time position is $95,000-$130,000 per year. Within this range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
