For an European organization in Strasbourg, France, we are urgently looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer.
EU candidates are welcome to apply.
Candidates must be eligible for EU Security Clearance (at least 5 years of EU nationality is required).

Candidates need to be based in Strasbourg or willing to relocate to Strasbourg.

Tasks and responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube for efficient and automated software deployment;Provide deployment support across environments, leveraging Red Hat Cluster Manager for orchestration and Openshift/Kubernetes for containerization and application deployment;Configure and support ServiceMesh technology, ensuring secure and efficient service communication in microservices architectures;Handle deployments and builds in an on-prem VMware environment;Participate in design discussions and provide technical recommendations for CI/CD, infrastructure, and application deployment;Provide ongoing support for applications after deployment, including troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization;Leverage tools such as SonarQube for quality assurance, ensuring the integrity and security of deployed code;Provide hands-on support to the deployment team, including participating in troubleshooting sessions and reviewing infrastructure-related documentation;Interpret the application development, operations, and infrastructure implications of proposed solutions;Utilize architect solutions to implement end-to-end technology solutions that address client business challenges;Assess and optimize IT infrastructure, operations, and service delivery to improve efficiency and performance;Assist in designing and managing the implementation of new technologies, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project objectives;
Profile:
Bachelor or University degree;+10 years of experience in a relevant industry, business consulting, or technical consulting;Strong experience with Continuous Integration of Java applications with Maven (GitHub Actions / Jenkins / Maven / SonarQube);Advanced experience with container orchestration and deployment (Kubernetes, Service mesh, Helm);Strong experience with Artefact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus);Experience with Cloud infrastructure and cloud platforms;Strong interest in infrastructure technologies and willingness to learn;Experience in data networking technologies including protocols, design, security and business continuity preferred;Experience of working in an agile software development environment;Knowledge of security best practices and tools;Desirable:Experience in development of Java/Maven/SpringBoot applications;Experience with Red Hat OpenShift;Experience with Azure Cloud provider;Experience with GitHub actions;Fluent in English;
