Software Engineer - Deep Tech Scale-Up - Meaningful Equity Location: London Role: Hiring multiple levels - junior to Lead SWE across back-end, front-end and full-stack Salary: Up to £160k base + equity (depends on which role/seniority) Company: A well-funded, fast-growing deep tech company building the foundational software and AI to power the autonomous age. About the role You'll drive development of software that lets autonomous systems collaborate, process large sensor datasets, and present complex information through intuitive interfaces for tasking and control of multiple assets. Your code will directly support mission-critical operations, and you'll iterate closely with end users. Responsibilities: Design, build and test core software platforms and interfacesIterate with customers and users to implement their requirementsInterface with and test autonomous and robotic systems in the fieldCollaborate with engineers across AI/ML, networking and roboticsHelp drive a culture of excellence across engineering Experience required Open to all levels, from new grads to senior engineers ready to lead a team or operate as a high-value IC. Looking for strength anywhere across the stack. You should have: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)Strong core skills in server-side languages (C++, Java, Rust, Python) or frontend (TypeScript/JavaScript with Angular or React)Genuine enthusiasm for a diverse tech stack Nice to have: Embedded/resource-constrained device experienceDocker and KubernetesSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)Machine learning applicationsFrontend mapping frameworks (Cesium, Mapbox, Leaflet)Secure coding practice (OWASP Top 10)
