About The Role The Web Developer will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the organization’s web applications, ensuring they are efficient, secure, and aligned with organizational goals. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) and involves working closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, upgrade legacy systems, and develop innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving, contributing to the continuous improvement of digital services provided by the organization. Qualifications The successful candidate should demonstrate proven experience in web development, with a solid understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies. Essential qualifications include proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, ASP.NET, VB.NET, and C#.NET. Candidates must also be willing to undergo pre-employment checks and vetting processes. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders, ensuring project requirements are clearly understood and met. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance existing and new web applications to meet organizational needs and standards.Identify and troubleshoot issues within existing web applications and websites, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.Perform regular maintenance and updates on web applications to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance with best practices.Convert and upgrade legacy sites and applications using modern technologies, ensuring compatibility and improved functionality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality digital solutions.Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure code quality and maintainability.Stay updated with emerging web development trends and technologies to suggest innovative improvements.
