About The Role We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services within a microservice architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust, high-performance solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Node.js, experience with modern HTTP frameworks such as Fastify, and a keen eye for clean, maintainable code. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes by applying modern technologies and best practices. Qualifications Excellent proficiency in German, both spoken and written (native or bilingual level). Willingness to commute to the office twice a week.Extensive experience in backend development with Node.js.Hands-on experience with Fastify or similar HTTP frameworks.Strong familiarity with TypeORM or comparable ORM tools.Experience with Dependency Injection, preferably using Awilix.Practical knowledge of test-driven development (TDD), ideally with Tap.Multiple years of experience building scalable backend services within a microservice architecture.Solid understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.Deep understanding of Clean Code principles and software design best practices.Experience working with both agile and traditional development methodologies.High quality awareness, team-oriented mindset, and proactive approach to problem-solving.Focus on delivering high-performance, maintainable, and reliable software solutions. Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance modern, scalable backend services within a microservice architecture.Implement requirements with a focus on quality, performance, and ease of maintenance.Participate actively in agile and traditional development workflows within the team.Plan, develop, and automate testing scenarios following TDD principles to ensure software reliability.Document code, system architecture, and workflows comprehensively for team clarity and future reference.Analyze, diagnose, and resolve bugs and technical issues efficiently.Continuously improve development processes and technical infrastructure by adopting modern technologies and best practices.
