Job Description We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable IT Support Officer / Junior Developer to join our friendly and close-knit IT team. The role is based at our renowned and iconic Richmond Headquarters, reporting to the IT Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in providing desktop support services and troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Tasks and responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Customer Service approach to Helpdesk SupportManagement and troubleshooting of inbound Helpdesk calls and ticketsWrite clear, secure and well-tested code that’s easy for others to re-useIdentify bugs when discovered or reportedOperate the services developed by the team and identify issues in productionValidate reported or identified issues and provide recommended solutions or fix when requiredCollaborates with other developers to continually improve the overall quality of the codebaseCreate simple solutions that meet user needs with both frontend and backend technologiesDeliver and produce a test-driven or behaviour-driven development and continuous integration / continuous delivery cadenceUser ManagementPreparation of workstations and hardwareInstallation of softwareNetwork and Printing services supportVoIP phone system extension supportOn-site support for Victorian locationsAsset Management, Stock Control, and Record-Keeping via provided systemsCollaborate with members of the IT team to share knowledge and escalate incidentsCollaborate with IT and Admin teams to develop/refine processes and ways to better facilitate business functions Qualifications Ideally you will have: Relevant Tertiary Qualification or Equivalent Industry CertificationDevelopment capability writing test-driven frontend and backend code in JavaScriptExperience with JavaScript frameworks like React.jsExperience with backend JavaScript technologies including NodeExperience with HTML, CSS and SASSExperience AWS Lambda and Firebase would highly desirableExperience developing and iterating software in agile multi-disciplinary teamsExperience with Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, and 365 User ManagementExperience with Windows 10 Desktop Diagnostics and SupportExperience Managing Networked Print EnvironmentsExperience with CRM Systems such as Salesforce a PlusStrong understanding of common patterns for developing maintainable and scalable web applicationsStrong Adherence to Process and ProcedureAbility to Work Together to Solve Technical Issues with Non-Technical PeopleExcellent Communication Skills, Written and PhoneStrong Team PlayerCollaborative, Curious, and HelpfulAttention to Detail Additional Information Work with Australia’s largest, preeminent dealer in the used car segment.
