Role Description This is a full-time AWS Cloud Engineer role based in Bangkok with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. The AWS Cloud Engineer designs, implements, and maintains cloud infrastructure on AWS to support scalable, secure, and reliable applications and services. Daily responsibilities include provisioning and configuring cloud resources, automating deployments, monitoring system performance, and optimizing cost and usage. The role also involves collaborating with software development teams, ensuring system security and compliance, maintaining documentation, and providing technical support for cloud-related issues. The engineer participates in continuous improvement initiatives, contributes to architecture reviews, and helps evaluate new cloud technologies relevant to MSC’s solutions and services. Qualifications Strong Cloud Computing skills, particularly with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.Solid Infrastructure knowledge, including networking, security, virtualization, load balancing, and backup/recovery practices.Hands-on experience with Linux administration, shell scripting, and system monitoring tools.Proficiency with Databases, including relational and NoSQL databases, performance tuning, and backup strategies.Exposure to Software Development practices, such as CI/CD, version control (e.g., Git), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Understanding of security best practices in the cloud, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance standards.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment.AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are an advantage.
