About The Role We are seeking an experienced AI Enablement & Automation Engineer to join our expanding team at OnlineDoctor AG. In this hands-on technical role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions that optimize internal workflows and operational efficiency. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their processes, identify automation opportunities, and translate these into reliable, scalable technical solutions. You will work extensively with APIs, scripting, and automation tools to integrate various internal systems such as SharePoint, Teams, Jira, Confluence, and Zoho, ensuring seamless data flow and operational continuity. Additionally, you will support the deployment and ongoing management of AI-enabled workflows, including AI assistants, document processing, and knowledge search functionalities. Your work will directly impact the company's ability to deliver high-quality healthcare services efficiently while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and security standards. Qualifications Professional experience in software engineering, automation engineering, systems integration, internal tooling, or a comparable hands-on technical role.Proven experience independently designing, building, and maintaining software, integrations, or automation solutions used in day-to-day operations.Strong practical programming or scripting skills and experience working with APIs, webhooks, data sources, business systems, and automation or integration tools.Practical familiarity with generative AI, AI assistants, or AI-supported workflows. Deep machine-learning or AI research expertise is not required.Understanding of authentication, authorization, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and basic cloud-security practices.Ability to understand operational problems and translate them into pragmatic, reliable, and maintainable technical solutions.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities Process Automation & Solution Development: Collaborate with teams to understand workflows, identify bottlenecks, and develop automation solutions that improve efficiency. Design and implement internal automation, AI assistants, document workflows, data extraction, classification, and knowledge search functionalities.Build and maintain integrations between AI services and internal systems such as SharePoint, Teams, Jira, Confluence, and Zoho using APIs, scripting, and automation tools.Solution Ownership & Operations: Take ownership of automation solutions beyond initial development, including testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous enhancement. Maintain and improve existing automation systems, establishing standards for integrations, access controls, error handling, and documentation.AI Enablement & Governance: Support teams in evaluating automation and AI initiatives, developing appropriate solutions, and using approved tools effectively.
