About The Role Software engineers (Ad Cloud Bidding) at Appier Tokyo office build a wide range of platforms and services that interconnect data and AI with our customers and users. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong focus on service operations to maintain and optimize our large-scale distributed systems. You will ensure our backend services run reliably and efficiently through automation, monitoring, and incident management. Responsibilities Manage system deployment, configuration, and release pipelinesDesign and manage automated deployment pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable releasesImplement monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery strategiesTroubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysisParticipate in on-call rotations and lead incident response when requiredContinuously evaluate and adopt new tools or technologies to improve operational workflows About You [Minimum qualifications] BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related fields3+ years of experience in backend engineering or site reliability engineeringFamiliar with Unix/Linux environmentsScripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or BashExperience in infrastructure-as-code toolsA proactive mindset toward automation and continuous improvement and strong sense of ownership [Preferred qualifications] Experience with cloud infrastructureFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability toolsKnowledge of performance profiling and load testing toolsExposure to security hardening, access control, or compliance auditing [Language]: Proficiency in Chinese Open to overseas candidates/Visa Support This position is based in Tokyo, Japan.
