ISR Platform Engineers | NV1 Cleared | Defence Consultancy Your new company Hays are partnered with a Defence Consultancy supporting a program delivering next-generation ISR capabilities, software factory solutions, data platforms and AI-enabled technologies across classified Defence environments. The team supports critical Defence initiatives and emerging Defence investment programs. Your new role We are seeking several NV1-cleared Platform Engineers and Software Developers to support the design, development, deployment and sustainment of modern cloud-native platforms operating on classified Defence networks. You will work alongside Defence stakeholders to deliver software factory capabilities, AI platforms and secure DevSecOps solutions supporting ISR mission outcomes. Key responsibilities include: Developing and deploying cloud-native platform solutionsBuilding secure software delivery pipelinesImplementing Infrastructure as Code practicesSupporting Kubernetes and CNCF technology stacksDeveloping and integrating data and AI platformsManaging software artefacts and release bundlesEngaging Defence stakeholders to gather technical requirementsSupporting deployment into classified air-gapped environments Primarily onsite across Defence classified environments - Edinburgh, SA / Fairbairn, ACT / Fishermans Bend, VIC What you'll need to succeed Current NV1 Security Clearance (minimum)Australian CitizenshipSoftware Engineering or Platform Engineering experienceExperience with Kubernetes and CNCF technologiesDevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline experienceInfrastructure as Code expertiseExperience working within Defence or classified environmentsExperience with Iron Bank, ASD or Defence secure development environments highly regardedAI, Data Platform or Software Factory experience advantageous What you'll get in return Long-term Defence contractInitial term to June 2027 + Potential extensions of up to 2 additional yearsWork on cutting-edge AI and ISR capabilitiesJoin a highly specialised Defence engineering program
