Description

Before anything else, the practical stuff - we'd rather you know now than find out at the interview: Salary: 400 JOD/month to startOffice role in Amman, not remote. Hours are 1 PM to 10 PMNot a heads-down coding job. Part of your day is technical support, for our own team and for the venues on our platform. If you'd rather never talk to a non-technical person, this isn't the oneReleases and problems don't always land inside office hours. When something is going live or something breaks, you're expected to be reachableYou'll be the junior in a small tech team. Real work from week one, and someone senior reviewing all of it If any of that doesn't fit your life right now, that's completely okay - we appreciate you reading this far. If it sounds like what you're looking for, keep going. Vyltic is Jordan's largest padel network - 8,500+ players, 70+ courts in 4 cities, 200+ events so far. We build two products: the player app people use to find matches, get ranked and play tournaments, and the SaaS platform our partner venues run their bookings, scheduling and operations on. Both are live, both have a long list of things to build next. That's where you come in. The job has two halves. Building: you take a feature from a design or a described behaviour to something working, on a TypeScript dashboard and a NestJS backend on PostgreSQL. You write the endpoint and the query behind it. You fix bugs by tracing them from what the user saw back to the cause, not by patching the symptom. Within your first few months you get into our Flutter app. Nothing goes live without staging, testing and review, and that includes your work from day one. Support: when customer service has a player who can't see their booking, when operations needs a tournament fixed in the system, when a venue manager calls because their dashboard isn't behaving, that comes to you. You work out whether it's a bug, a data issue or a misunderstanding, fix what needs fixing, and explain it back in plain language to someone who doesn't know what an API is. Half the value of this role is that the people around you stop being stuck. What we're after in a junior is less about what you know and more about how you work. Do you read the code before you add to it? Do you follow what's already there instead of inventing your own way? Do you test your work before handing it over, and write down what you built so the next person can pick it up? Do you ask early when you're stuck, not after three days? And when someone non-technical comes to you frustrated, do you stay patient and get them sorted? If you'd rather say "I don't understand this yet" than guess, you're our kind of person. Technically: working JavaScript and TypeScript, a modern front-end framework (React preferred - work, study or personal projects all count), an understanding of REST APIs and some experience writing one in Node.js, basic SQL, and comfortable with Git. Arabic and English, both, since you'll be supporting people in either. Flutter, NestJS, PostgreSQL, an ORM like TypeORM or Prisma, or Arabic/English interfaces are pluses, not musts. If you've built something real and it works, that counts for more than a degree. One thing we want to be clear about: we're not hiring for a gig, and we're not looking for someone passing through. We're looking for someone who wants to build a career - and this is a company where that's actually possible. We'd rather have ten exceptional people than fifty average ones, so the bar is high and stays high. But performance here is measured openly, and growth follows it. We're expanding into new sports and new markets across the Middle East, and the products you'll be working on are the ones that carry that expansion. The people who prove themselves early end up carrying the bigger roles when we get there. The salary above is where this starts - it is not where it goes. There's no ceiling here. It's just earned. To apply: send your CV to careers@vyltic.com with subject line "Full Stack Developer", a few lines on why you fit what we described above, and a link to something you've built - GitHub, a deployed project, anything real.
