About The Role We are seeking an experienced AI DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is remote within the United States, with a preference for candidates located near San Jose, California. Reporting to the Manager of IT Cloud Operations within the Cloud Platform Engineering department, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the internal cloud platform that supports Zscaler’s product and corporate infrastructure across multiple cloud providers, including AWS, GCP, and Azure. Your primary focus will be on designing and deploying automation solutions that facilitate cloud environment provisioning, enforce security standards, and integrate AI-assisted tooling to streamline operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of cloud engineering, automation, and artificial intelligence, helping to shape the future of secure cloud infrastructure at Zscaler. Qualifications Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance workflows and problem-solving.5+ years of experience in building and operating multi-cloud infrastructure at scale across major cloud platforms.Hands-on expertise with Terraform, including module design, state management, and CI/CD workflows.Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and Kubernetes operations.Understanding of identity federation, secrets management, and security best practices such as least-privilege access. Responsibilities Develop and extend automation for cloud infrastructure provisioning, including pipelines, account management, and template repositories.Create and maintain automation workflows for lifecycle management, upgrades, dependency scanning, drift detection, and automated remediation.Write and manage Terraform modules, GitLab CI/CD components, and Python scripts to establish and maintain platform standards.Integrate AI and agentic tooling into operational workflows to reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency.Collaborate with Security, IAM, Network, and FinOps teams to translate cross-functional requirements into automated guardrails and policies.Continuously evaluate emerging AI tools and automation techniques to enhance platform capabilities and operational efficiency.
