Founding Senior Platform & AI Engineer

FidelyA is at a genuinely early stage. The SaaS is not fully built yet, and we are looking for someone senior enough to help turn a clear commercial vision into the practical technical work needed to make it real. We are building software that helps businesses identify employee friction and improve performance, engagement and behaviour through insight, incentives, recommendations and automation. This is an AI-native engineering role. Development is done using AI: we need someone who is already highly effective with Claude Code and knows how to use it responsibly to turn a clear specification into high-quality, maintainable production software. THE ROLE You will help shape and build FidelyA’s foundations across platform architecture, data, automation, integrations and applied AI. You will work closely with the founder and CTO. Often, the starting point will be a desired outcome, a conversation or a rough idea—not a fully written backlog. You need to be able to turn that into a sensible specification, a practical plan and working software. We do not want unnecessary process, ceremony or ticket management. We want someone with good judgement, a positive attitude and enough initiative to move work forward without hand-holding. WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON • Designing the core platform and multi-tenant SaaS foundations • Creating clean, scalable data models, database schemas and APIs • Building integrations, workflows and operational automations • Developing alerts, reporting, recommendations and practical AI-assisted operations • Deciding what belongs in the database, backend, automation layer or AI workflow • Establishing sensible patterns for permissions, auditability and reliability • Reducing manual work across onboarding, operations, reporting and incentives • Mentoring a junior developer through clear specifications, code review and hands-on guidance WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU You are a senior, hands-on engineer with strong technical judgement and a proven ability to build with AI. Essentially, you should: • Be genuinely expert with Claude Code or an equivalent AI-native development workflow • Have used spec-driven development in practice: turning outcomes into clear requirements, acceptance criteria and executable engineering work • Know how to use AI to accelerate delivery without compromising architecture, security, testing or maintainability • Be comfortable reviewing, challenging and improving AI-generated code rather than accepting it blindly • Have strong backend engineering, SQL and PostgreSQL experience • Be confident designing production-grade schemas, APIs, integrations and automated systems • Be able to translate business needs into practical technical tasks independently • Be comfortable in a zero-to-one environment where priorities will evolve • Communicate clearly, document key decisions and mentor a junior developer • Bring a pragmatic, calm and constructive attitude Experience with Supabase, multi-tenant SaaS, TypeScript, Python, AI/LLM workflows, alerts, analytics or recommendation systems would be valuable, but sound judgement and execution matter more than ticking every technology box. Our current environment includes TypeScript, React, Supabase/PostgreSQL, GitHub and AI-native development workflows. You do not need to be an expert in every tool from day one, but you must be able to understand an existing codebase, make sound architectural decisions and ship reliable production software. THIS PROBABLY ISN’T FOR YOU IF • You need every task fully specified before you can begin • You want a traditional, ticket-led engineering environment • You prefer process and planning to building and solving problems • You cannot confidently turn an ambiguous request into a clear, testable specification • You are not already highly capable using AI tools such as Claude Code as part of daily development • You expect hand-holding, constant direction or an established team and product around you • You are interested in AI demos, but not reliable systems that improve real operations WORKING ARRANGEMENT • Full-time engagement, with an initial commitment of at least six months • Fully remote role for someone based in Poland • Direct work with the founder and CTO • Close collaboration with a junior developer • Start as soon as possible This is a chance to have genuine influence while the company’s technical foundations are still being formed. The work will be broad, practical and sometimes messy—as early-stage building often is—but it will directly shape the product, the business and how FidelyA scales.
