Job Title: Staff Engineer Location: Livingston Design Centre, UK Based at our Livingston Design Centre, you will deliver end-to-end product realization—from early design concepts through commercialization. Serving as a senior technical authority and mentor, you will drive system & component architectures, guide cross-functional project teams, and interface directly with clients to turn technical requirements into high-performing hardware-software solutions. Fluency in German is a mandatory requirement to lead customer technical interactions and support regional business operations. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Architecture: Lead product development across the full product lifecycle. Act as a primary subject matter expert and mentor to junior and mid-level engineers at the Livingston site.Project Management & Delivery: Serve as technical lead on small to mid-sized projects, owning scope, schedule, budget, and overall execution quality.Client & Business Support: Lead technical discussions directly with German-speaking clients, partner with business development teams, and contribute to technical proposals and effort estimations.Continuous Improvement: Champion local process enhancements, tool adoption, and best practices within the embedded engineering discipline.Team Leadership: Exemplify core company values, foster talent development, and coach team members to help them achieve career growth. Mandatory Requirements Language Proficiency: Fluent German speaker (native or C1/C2 professional fluency required) with professional working proficiency in English.Location: Must be based at (or willing to commute/relocate to) our Livingston Design Centre.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading project teams, managing scope/schedules, and delivering client-facing technical solutions.
