Your Hiring Experience Matters
Just as we respect our customers' time, we respect yours.
Your experience with Shine and Cegid should feel simple, transparent and genuinely supportive.
If this sounds like somewhere you want to grow, we'd love to hear from you.
The Team
We're building a small, new team inside the CEO's office with one job: make AI a default part of how every team at Shine works, not just an occasional tool.
Reporting to the Head of Business Performance, you'll be one of the founding engineers on this team.
Your focus is everyone else: Finance, HR, Sales, Customer Support, and beyond.
Your Role
You'll work directly with individual business teams as an AI evangelist, deeply understand how they actually work day to day, and then design, build, and ship the tools, agents, and automations that change it β not generic company-wide platforms, but things built for how each team specifically operates.
This isn't a research or advisory role: you'll own what you build end-to-end, and your success is measured by how many workflows you've permanently transformed and how many teams have genuinely gone AI-first as a result.
What You'll Do
Work directly with individual business teams and leaders (Finance, HR, Sales, Customer Support, and beyond) as an AI evangelist, to deeply understand their day-to-day workflows and find the highest-leverage opportunities for AI to change how they work.Design, build, and ship custom AI tools, agents, and automations tailored to each team's specific needs.Coach and partner with teams through a practical adoption journey β from a first tangible win, to regular use, to full workflow transformation.Track and report on adoption and impact, and use that evidence to decide where to focus next.Own what you build end-to-end, from prototype to something people rely on daily β there's no separate team to hand off to.Work closely with the Head of Business Performance to prioritize where AI adoption will have the most business impact.
How We Measure Success
Number of workflows meaningfully transformed by AI, team by team.Adoption: the teams you've worked with default to AI-first ways of working, not just pilot it once.Real business impact β measurable time saved, quality improved, or new capability unlocked.
About You
Must-Have
8+ years of engineering experience with a strong track record of shipping and operating real, production systems β not just prototypes.Hands-on, practical experience building AI-powered tools, agents, or automations that changed how a team actually works.Proven ability to work autonomously: you've owned something end-to-end before, with minimal supervision, and made good calls without a large team around you.Comfortable spending real time with non-technical stakeholders β you need to understand how a team works before you can change it.Strong entrepreneurial instincts and genuine enthusiasm for evangelizing AI adoption, not just building tools for other engineers.Excellent communication and coaching skills β you'll need to bring skeptical, busy teams along, not just ship code and walk away.
Strong Plus
Background in consulting, solutions engineering, or another client/stakeholder-facing technical role.Experience in a startup or scale-up environment where you were one of very few engineers on a new initiative.Experience with modern AI/agent frameworks (e.g.
LangGraph, MCP) and API-first integration work.Exposure to fintech or another regulated industry.
What This Role Is Not
This isn't a role confined to one tool or one team β you'll work across the business, not just inside a single function.
It's also not part of the engineering org's dedicated AI-native platform team, and it's not a research role β the bar is real, lasting adoption, not proofs of concept.
If you want a narrow, well-defined backlog, this isn't the right fit; if you want outsized ownership over how the whole company works with AI, it is.
