Role: Linux/Web System Administrator Contract Type: Part-Time (4-8 hours)/day Location: Remote Strong Linux system administration skills, preferably with CentOS and AlmaLinux, including monitoring production systems, troubleshooting, escalation, and administering multiple serversProven experience deploying applications to staging and production environments with minimal downtime, and maintaining/updating deployment proceduresExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development and QA teamsPractical knowledge of infrastructure as code and configuration management using Ansible and Puppet, for provisioning new servers and updating existing infrastructureStrong skills configuring and maintaining LEMP (Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PHP) and MERN (MongoDB, Node.js) stacks in high-availability environmentsExperience managing high-traffic, load-balanced systems using NGINX (web serving, load balancing, reverse proxying), and caching mechanismsExperience with Memcached/Redis configuration and optimizationStrong understanding of web technologies including caching, proxying, content distribution, WebSockets, load balancing, and disaster recovery proceduresExperience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, and ELKUnderstanding of backup and disaster recovery concepts and best practicesExperience with version control tools (Git/GitHub)Ability to work cross-functionally to resolve production issues with minimal client impact, and to perform updates, patches, and maintenance across production and pre-production environments
