Our platform combines data, machine learning, optimization, and automation to maximize the value of flexible energy assets while supporting a more reliable and sustainable energy system.
We're looking for a (Senior) Data Engineer to help scale the data platform behind our real-time trading and battery optimization services.
You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, mathematicians, traders, and energy market experts who are building the next generation of algorithmic trading and optimization solutions for energy storage assets across Europe.

What You'll Do
As a Data Engineer, you will help design, build, and operate the data platform that powers our products, optimization algorithms, analytics, and machine learning capabilities.
Our technology stack includes AWS, Databricks, Python, SQL, Spark, Delta Lake/Iceberg, GitHub Actions, and modern observability tooling.
Your Responsibilities Include
Designing and developing reliable and scalable data pipelines.
Building integrations to market platforms, telemetry systems, operational services, and third-party data sources.
Developing data products that support forecasting, optimization, analytics, and machine learning.
Improving the reliability, observability, performance, and cost-efficiency of our data platform.
Working closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to solve challenging business problems.
Taking ownership of critical components of our platform as we scale our operations across multiple European markets.
What We're Looking For
We are interested in engineers who enjoy solving complex data and software engineering challenges and who take pride in building robust, maintainable systems.
You Likely Have
4+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a similar technical role.
Strong Python, SQL, Databricks and Apache Spark skills.
Experience building cloud-native systems and data processing pipelines.
Hands-on experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.
Experience designing and implementing data models and data pipelines.
Experience with batch and streaming data processing.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices.
Experience with schema management, validation, and evolution.
A passion for writing maintainable, well-tested, production-grade code.
Strong communication skills and professional fluency in English.
Bonus Points If You Have Experience With
Energy storage systems, electricity markets, or energy trading.
Apache Iceberg, Parquet, Avro, or similar modern data storage technologies.
Modern analytics and query engines.
The wider Apache ecosystem.
Data quality frameworks and automated validation.
