Senior Frontend Engineer (React.js & Next.js)

Komodo Consulting is a technology and strategy firm specializing in Digital Transformation. Operating in Portugal and Poland, we provide IT Consulting & Nearshore services. We support both public and private sector organizations through two main areas: Consulting — with a focus on strategy, investment analysis, and digital process improvement; IT Team Augmentation — helping clients scale and strengthen their tech teams. The Project We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer (React.js and Next.js) to work on a project for a Technology Company. You will have the following responsibilities: Take end-to-end ownership of front-end applications, ensuring performance, security, and long-term scalability;Partner with cross-functional teams within an Agile framework (Scrum/Kanban), working autonomously and delivering consistently;Design and develop robust, isomorphic web applications using React.js, Next.js, and modern JavaScript with server-side rendering techniques;Drive quality standards across SEO, accessibility, and performance, with a strong focus on Core Web Vitals metrics;Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, where clear communication and interpersonal skills are treated as professional strengths. You need to have the following skills/experience: Strong hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js;Proficiency with Redux or similar state management solutions, and familiarity with both GraphQL and REST APIs;Solid command of HTML5, CSS3, and pre/post-processors such as SASS, LESS, or PostCSS;Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Enzyme;Knowledge of performance monitoring tools such as New Relic, Grafana, or Core Web Vitals;Experience with Azure is considered a strong plus;Exposure to diverse tech stacks and environments is highly valued;English proficiency at B2 level or above, with confidence communicating and collaborating in a fully English-speaking environment.
