Senior Frontend Engineer

You will take ownership from an initially ambiguous product problem through technical design, delivery, rollout and learning in production. Working closely with Product, Design, backend engineers and other frontend engineers, you will create clarity, make architectural trade-offs and help the team deliver maintainable, accessible and high-quality product experiences. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role with significant technical and project leadership responsibility. A significant part of the role will be helping us evolve our frontend architecture incrementally while continuing to deliver customer value. Our product includes modern and established frontend technologies, and we are introducing new product experiences and AI-assisted capabilities. You do not need to be an expert in every framework, but you must be able to lead safely across technical boundaries. You will have the possibility to form part of our established office environment in Lithuania, Copenhagen, London, or Odense! You get a unique opportunity to make a tremendous impact in taking your career, Relesys and our dear clients to the next level over the coming years - as we say it, joining a scale-up at this stage is a rare opportunity that is "once in a lifetime". 🚀 Your Key Responsibilities Own ambiguous, high-impact frontend initiatives from discovery through production, including the outcome and not only the implementation tasksPartner with Product and Design to clarify the customer problem, challenge assumptions and shape an achievable solutionLead technical discovery and frontend design, making trade-offs between delivery speed, user experience, maintainability and migration cost explicitBreak complex initiatives into safe milestones with appropriate testing, telemetry, feature flags and rollback plansDesign and implement accessible, responsive and resilient experiences while evolving our frontend architecture and design system incrementallyTake responsibility for production outcomes, investigate difficult problems, prevent recurring issues and adjust the solution when evidence changesMentor engineers, raise the quality of technical discussions and code reviews, and help others make better decisionsCollaborate across frontend, backend, Product, Design and Quality Engineering to create alignment and bring decisions to closure Who are you? You have 5+ years of professional experience within software development and a proven track record of building, delivering, and maintaining high-quality software solutions in a professional environmentYou have a demonstrated record of leading substantial frontend initiatives from an unclear problem to a production outcomeYou have strong TypeScript and browser fundamentals, with deep production experience in React, Angular or a comparable modern frontend frameworkSound judgment in frontend architecture, state management, API integration, component design and maintainabilityExperience building accessible, responsive and well-tested interfaces and improving performance using measurable evidenceThe ability to work effectively in a large or evolving codebase and modernise it incrementally rather than requiring a complete rewriteThe ability to explain technical decisions clearly, mentor engineers and resolve disagreement constructivelyA product mindset and a habit of taking accountability beyond completing a backlogYou are a team player and wishes to engage in the office and its succes while enjoying a collaborate positiv environmentYou have a bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similarYou believe that performance is not a matter of fast deliveries but high-quality deliveries and a strong team spiritYou have excellent communication skills in verbal and written English Furthermore, it would be great, but not required, if you have/are: Modernising AngularJS or another legacy frontend while continuing normal product deliveryWorking across both React and Angular applicationsCreating design systems, shared frontend capabilities or visual-regression practicesBuilding mobile web experiences or applications delivered through a native WebViewIntroducing frontend observability or accessibility practicesUsing AI-assisted development responsibly, including verification, testing and protection of confidential data What do we offer?
