The team: A place where great ideas can come from anyone
Joining us means becoming part of a warm, ambitious, and genuinely collaborative Technology & Operations Team.
We are a group that thrives on shared purpose, celebrates each other's wins, and is not afraid to roll up our sleeves when things get complex.
Our work spans a broad range of initiatives that shape the organisation's digital backbone β but what truly defines us is how we do it: together.
On this application specifically, you will work day-to-day alongside our Business Application Manager, who coordinates prioritisation and the release process, and a small pool of external developers who provide specialist and overflow capacity.
Together, you form the core development team β working closely with Product Owners, Super Users, and functional subject-matter experts from Investment, Risk, Valuation and Finance to keep the backlog moving and the platform improving.
You will be surrounded by talented colleagues who bring curiosity, professionalism, and a healthy sense of humour to the table.
As we continue to grow and evolve, we are building a culture where learning is continuous and where you will have the space to influence how we work.
You develop and evolve our internal investment management application
Our internal Investment Management application is built on Microsoft Dataverse, Power Apps, and the Dynamics 365 platform (using only capabilities that do not require a Dynamics 365 Sales licence).
It supports the full investment lifecycle β from lead and screening, through portfolio management and monitoring, to exit.
Alongside this low-code foundation, an increasing share of the application is built as custom web applications β using JavaScript and Node.js β to deliver functionality that goes beyond what Power Apps supports out of the box.
We are looking for a Power Apps & Web Application Developer to take day-to-day technical ownership of the application's codebase and configuration and be the technical lead for the application and its growth over the coming years.
You will work closely with our Business Application Manager and external developer resources as the core development team, turning a continuously prioritised backlog into reliable, well-built functionality for the business β spanning both the Power Platform and our custom web application components.
You will take the lead on deciding when a requirement is best solved with low-code Power Apps versus custom web development, in dialogue with the Business Application Manager.
You will, for example:
Platform development: design, build, and maintain Power Apps (model-driven and canvas) and Dataverse solution components β tables, relationships, business rules, and automation β that underpin the applicationWeb application development: design, build, and maintain custom web applications and services using JavaScript and Node.js, extending the platform beyond native Power Apps capabilities and integrating tightly with Dataverse via APIsDynamics 365 configuration: configure and extend Dynamics 365 platform capabilities used within the application, strictly limited to functionality that does not require a Dynamics 365 Sales licenceProcess automation: build Power Automate flows that automate approvals, notifications, and data flows between the application, our ERP, and other enterprise systemsBacklog delivery: work from the prioritised Kanban backlog together with the Business Application Manager, who owns the board and coordinates prioritisation and releaseRequirements translation: engage directly with super users and functional SMEs across Investment, Risk, Valuation and Finance to understand needs and translate them into technical designsCollaboration with external resources: coordinate day-to-day with external developers on shared backlog items, ensuring consistent quality, patterns, and documentation across the codebaseTesting and release: support structured testing cycles and releases, working with super users to validate functionality before it reaches the wider organisationProduction support: troubleshoot and resolve issues in the live application β both the Power Platform components and the custom web application layer β protecting data integrity and keeping the platform reliable for daily useDocumentation: maintain clear technical documentation of the data model, configurations, and customisations to support governance and knowledge transfer
You bring hands-on Power Platform and web development skills, and a collaborative mindset
