DevOps Engineer

This is the job We are looking for a DevOps Engineer. You will help support, scale, and secure our newly launched Payment Solution, built entirely from scratch on cloud infrastructure using modern DevSecOps practices. Your day-to-day work will focus on building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines, provisioning AWS infrastructure using Terraform, running containerized microservices, and ensuring high availability and strong security across our financial services. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional agile team and fellow DevOps engineers to deliver robust payment experiences for our merchants. This is your role CI/CD Management: Build, secure, and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines using GitLab.Infrastructure as Code: Provision and manage AWS infrastructure utilizing Terraform.AWS Services & Architecture: Configure and maintain core AWS services including IAM, Cognito, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route53, API Gateway, MSK (Kafka), ALB, and VPN.Container Operations: Run and monitor containerized microservices smoothly on AWS.Reliability & Support: Ensure the continuous, smooth operation of our Payment Solution, including participation in on-duty support.Security & Compliance: Embed strong security practices into all services and infrastructure components in line with fintech standards.Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with other DevOps engineers and cross-functional agile teams, utilize Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), leverage AI-assisted development tools, and thoroughly document your work. This is you Experience with Source Code Management (Git) and Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence).3+ years of DevOps experience with a solid understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps principles.Hands-on knowledge of building, managing, and securing CI/CD pipelines.Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and at least one programming language (Python preferred).Experience working within agile environments, ideally within the banking or fintech industry.Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows.Advanced (C1) proficiency in English.Czech or Slovak language at an excellent level.
