Application Developer

We're growing our mobile team at Aspect and looking for an experienced Mobile App Developer who can confidently work across both Flutter and React Native. We already have a live Flutter app used daily by our field teams across job management, task tracking, on-site forms, vehicle checks, notifications, profile management, leaderboards, milestones and rewards. As Aspect continues to grow, we’re expanding our mobile footprint further with React Native too. We need someone who can move comfortably between both platforms, not someone who specialises in one and only tolerates the other.nThis is a hands-on role for someone who can take features from ticket to release, work closely with our web and backend teams, and help us build reliable mobile tools used every day by engineers, tradespeople and operational teams in the field. Key Responsibilities Build and improve mobile features across Aspect’s field-service apps, including task details, job information, on-site forms, vehicle inspections, notifications, profile and account managementDevelop gamified features such as leaderboards, milestones, rewards and performance-based engagement toolsWork on Flutter features using BLoC/Cubit for state managementContribute to React Native development as we expand that side of the mobile platformIntegrate with REST APIs using Dio and other relevant mobile networking toolsImplement secure authentication flows, including Azure AD OAuthWork with native device capabilities including camera, photo compression, GPS, geolocation, maps, permissions and secure local storageSupport iOS and Android releases, including Xcode, Gradle, App Store Connect and Google Play ConsoleWork closely with Aspect’s React/TypeScript web team and backend teams to keep mobile features aligned with our wider platformImprove app stability, testing, performance and release qualityTake ownership of mobile features from ticket through to App Store and Play Store release What You'll Need 3+ years’ professional mobile development experienceReal production experience shipping apps in both Flutter and React NativeConfidence working across both frameworks, not just deep expertise in one and light exposure to the otherStrong understanding of mobile state management, such as BLoC/Cubit, Redux, Provider, Riverpod or similarExperience with REST API integration, OAuth/token authentication and secure local storageExperience working with native device capabilities such as camera, geolocation, maps and permissionsGood knowledge of iOS and Android release processes, including Xcode, Gradle, App Store Connect and Google Play ConsoleAbility to work in a small, fast-moving product and engineering teamPragmatic problem-solving skills and the confidence to communicate blockers clearlyA delivery-focused mindset with the ability to work independently without heavy hand-holding Nice to Have Azure AD or enterprise SSO experienceSalesforce knowledge, especially objects, REST/SOAP APIs or Salesforce-backed data modelsReact/TypeScript web development experienceExperience with offline-first mobile apps or apps designed for unreliable connectivityExperience building software for field service, property maintenance, logistics, workforce management or operational teams About Aspect Aspect is one of the London's largest property maintenance companies, with more than 20 years of experience supporting residential and commercial customers. About You You're an experienced mobile developer who enjoys building products that people genuinely use every day.You're comfortable switching between Flutter and React Native, confident handling mobile-specific challenges, and experienced enough to know where platform issues usually appear.You care about clean implementation, but you’re also commercially pragmatic. You understand that in a fast-moving operational business, good engineering needs to support real-world delivery.You communicate clearly, flag blockers early, ask sensible questions and take ownership of getting features shipped properly.
