Description
We're looking for someone who can build real software, fast, using AI, and who has enough business sense to know what's worth building.
This isn't a client-facing role, but it isn't purely internal either.
The work splits two ways: internal tools that make the group run better, and consumer-facing web that brings in revenue.
We will hand you problems from both sides: a process that's too manual, a dashboard that doesn't exist yet, a workflow held together by spreadsheets, a vacation home that needs its own landing page, a booking flow we shouldn't be paying OTA commission for.
You'll turn them into working software, then keep it alive.
The job is mostly building.
The business sense is what makes you build the right thing instead of the interesting thing.
WHO WE ARE
TBros Group is a real estate investment and technology platform spanning six businesses: Kasu Capital (investment and asset management across self-storage and private vacation resorts), Kasu Resorts (design-forward vacation homes), The Storage Loft (self-storage development and operations across Ontario), Deerfield Brokerage (commercial and residential real estate brokerage), Sozul (hospitality-led property management for short-term rentals), and RevWhisper (managed revenue and listing optimization for short-term rental operators).
You won't be confined to one of these.
This role sits across the group.
Wherever an internal process needs a tool, or a brand needs a page that converts, that's where you go.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
• Build consumer-facing web pages that looks good and converts.
Landing pages for individual short-term rental homes, campaign landing pages for our paid ads, and marketing pages for the group's brands.
These are public and they get judged on how they look and how well they convert, not just whether they work.
• Build and own a direct booking engine.
A booking flow for our own homes that plugs into our property management system for rates, availability, and reservations, so we take direct bookings instead of paying OTA commission on every stay.
• Build fast with AI-assisted coding.
When the fix is a small internal tool, a dashboard view, a scraper, or a script, you build it yourself in our stack (React, Next.js, Supabase, Vercel) using AI coding tools like Claude Code or Codex.
You don't need to be a career engineer.
You need to ship working software and know when it's good enough to trust.
• Use AI as a core part of how you build, not just what you build.
Claude, GPT, agents, APIs, structured outputs.
You should be able to go from "this task is repetitive" to "this task now runs itself" without waiting for anyone else.
• Own automations end to end.
Make, n8n, Zapier, or straight scripts, whatever's right for the problem.
You pick the tool, build it, maintain it, and document it.
• Work across the portfolio.
A tool for RevWhisper's reporting looks nothing like a landing page for a Kasu Resorts home or a leasing workflow for The Storage Loft.
You'll move between businesses as the priorities do.
• Maintain, not just build.
Tools and pages break, drift, and get outgrown.
You keep them working as each business changes underneath them.
• Know what's worth building.
Not every request deserves a tool.
You'll be trusted to push back, scope things down, or say "here's a five-minute fix that gets you most of the way there" when that's the smarter call.
• Bring answers, not questions.
Alex and Spencer will hand you ambiguous problems, not detailed specs.
You're expected to come back with a working solution and the reasoning behind it.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Non-negotiable:
• You can build with AI coding tools and produce something that actually works, not just a demo
• Enough real understanding of what you're building to debug it, read the code, and know when the AI is wrong
• Daily, hands-on fluency with AI tools; you've built things with them, not just used them
• Comfort building with React, Next.js, Supabase, and Vercel, our actual stack
• A real eye for design.
You can build a page that belongs next to a luxury vacation home, not one that looks like an admin panel
• Comfortable integrating third-party APIs, since the booking engine lives or dies on them
• Good enough business judgment to know what's worth building, and to push back when it isn't
• Clear written communication; you'll often be working from a one-line ask
• High autonomy; you'd rather be handed a goal than a task list
• Comfortable context switching across different businesses and problem types in the same week
Helps a lot:
• Experience with conversion-focused landing pages, paid-ads landing pages, or web analytics
• You've integrated payments (Stripe) or a booking, reservation, or channel-manager API before
• Experience at a startup or small company where you wore several hats
• Background in real estate, hospitality, short-term rentals, storage, or brokerage
• You've built something on your own: a tool, a side project, a business
WHY THIS ROLE IS WORTH TAKING
You'll report directly to the two owners of the group and be the person who builds and owns the internal systems and the consumer-facing web used across six different businesses.
There's no committee between you and shipping something.
The tools you build get used every week by real teams, the pages you build get seen by real guests, and you'll see the impact directly across a diverse portfolio rather than one narrow product.
You'll also be working in one of the more interesting corners of AI right now: applied, practical, tied to real operating businesses instead of a demo.
Compensation: $60,000-$85,000 CAD plus performance incentive.
On-site in Hamilton.
HOW TO APPLY
Skip the cover letter.
Apply here with your resume, and include two things in it:
A few sentences on one tool, automation, or page you built.
What was broken, what you built, and what changed as a result.A link to something you've built: a tool, a script, an internal app, a landing page, an automation.
A repo, a live link, or a two-minute Loom.
We don't care whether you wrote every line by hand or built it with AI assistance.
We care that it works and that you can explain how.We read everything and we respond to everyone.
