About The Role The Staff DevOps Engineer role at Ad Hoc is a remote position that plays a critical part in shaping the technical strategy and infrastructure of the Veterans Affairs (VA) business unit. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert, leading complex projects and influencing technical decision-making across teams. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure, pipelines, and security practices to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant software delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of DevOps principles and cloud technologies. As a key contributor, you will mentor junior engineers, lead cross-functional initiatives, and collaborate closely with government partners and stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital services that improve Veteran outcomes. Your expertise will help streamline processes, enhance system security, and support the organization’s mission to modernize government services efficiently and effectively.
