AI Solutions Engineer

About Hitch Hitch is a Brisbane startup that combines client delivery with a product platform. We help service businesses turn messy processes into useful software and AI-powered automation. The role We are looking for an AI Solutions Engineer to work across customer discovery, solution design and implementation. You will help turn real operational problems into reliable systems, working closely with customers and a small technical team. This is a permanent full-time role (38 hours per week), hybrid in Brisbane. You must be based in Brisbane or nearby and able to attend in person in Brisbane. Base salary: AUD $70,000–$110,000 plus super, depending on experience. Start ASAP. What you will do • Build and improve customer-facing software, automation and AI-assisted workflows. • Work with customers to understand their operations, map requirements and deliver practical solutions. • Develop with TypeScript and relational databases, and integrate APIs and AI models where they create real value. • Take ownership from first conversation through implementation, testing and iteration. • Help shape how Hitch delivers and productises repeatable solutions. What will help • Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication with both technical and non-technical people. • Experience with TypeScript, SQL or relational databases, web applications, integrations or automation. • Curiosity about AI systems, agents and how to apply them safely to real customer workflows. • Comfort working in a small, fast-moving team and learning as you go.
