About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Principal AI Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development of AI capabilities that power our enterprise platform, turning our vision of "AI Your Way" into secure, reliable, and impactful product features. This is a hands-on, senior-level engineering position where you will design, develop, test, and operate production-grade AI solutions. You will act as a technical multiplier, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including product management, security, and customer success, to deliver scalable AI-driven features that directly address real customer needs. Your responsibilities will span from problem discovery and architectural design to implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of AI services. You will own end-to-end AI capabilities, ensuring they are robust, secure, and trustworthy for enterprise deployment. Your expertise will help shape the future of AI integration within our platform, driving innovation and operational excellence. Qualifications 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven impact in production environments.Extensive experience in building and operating customer-facing software solutions.Proficiency in Python and strong skills in at least one of the following: C#, TypeScript, or Java.Hands-on experience developing production Large Language Models (LLMs) or agentic AI applications, including retrieval, grounding, structured outputs, tool calling, and state management.Deep understanding of data-intensive systems, APIs, event streams, data ingestion, transformation, and operational observability.Strong knowledge of system design principles for distributed, cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS products, including security, identity, and performance considerations.Experience evaluating and diagnosing AI systems through datasets, telemetry, automated tests, and production monitoring.Pragmatic architectural judgment balancing AI and traditional software solutions.Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.Degree in computer science, software engineering, AI/ML, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Responsibilities Own and deliver end-to-end AI capabilities, from problem discovery and technical design to deployment, monitoring, and continuous enhancement.Develop, review, and maintain production-quality code for AI services, APIs, connectors, data pipelines, and product interfaces.Design agentic systems employing retrieval, grounding, structured outputs, tool execution, and context management to meet use case requirements.Translate customer and product needs into platform specifications, ensuring data quality, governance, and trustworthiness of AI results.Create early prototypes and validate solutions within real workflows, iterating to evolve secure, maintainable, multi-tenant capabilities.Implement evaluation frameworks including datasets, automated assessments, trace analysis, and telemetry to ensure quality, safety, and performance.Engineer for enterprise trust through tenant isolation, access controls, auditability, data minimization, and safe rollback mechanisms.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert customer problems into measurable outcomes, sharing reusable libraries and best practices.Contribute to the advancement of applied-AI engineering practices and promote a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
