WALDEVAR Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and Artificial Intelligence to join our engineering team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing the backend architecture that supports our intelligent energy platforms.
You will work across scalable APIs, data infrastructure, microservices, and AI-powered services, contributing directly to solutions for predictive analytics, energy optimization, forecasting, and anomaly detection.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable backend applications and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js.Design and implement AI/ML integrations supporting predictive analytics, load forecasting, anomaly detection, and other intelligent platform capabilities.Collaborate with data scientists to deploy and operationalize machine learning models as robust and scalable production services.Architect and manage data solutions across relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.Develop and maintain microservices and distributed systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.Design and implement appropriate security and data protection measures.Monitor and optimize application performance, reliability, and responsiveness.Establish and maintain high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and engineering practices.
Required Qualifications5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.Demonstrable experience with AI/ML concepts and integrating machine learning models into production applications.Strong experience designing and developing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.Professional experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.Solid understanding of microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.Experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including relevant serverless and AI/ML services.Strong knowledge of Git and modern software development practices.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment and take ownership of complex technical initiatives.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Experience using Python in data science or machine learning environments.Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging and event-driven technologies.Familiarity with MLOps, including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.Previous experience in the energy, renewable energy, or utilities sector, or a strong interest in the field.
