About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining CI/CD build pipelines for our simulation software across multiple generations.
Your expertise will be pivotal in developing and optimizing our proprietary monitoring tools to ensure the smooth operation of simulation systems.
You will actively lead the implementation and enhancement of virtualization and automation solutions, ensuring high availability and continuous development of internal IT systems and tools.
The position involves defining system requirements, developing architectures and designs, and ensuring platform scalability and stability.
Additionally, you may have the opportunity to lead a team of 7 to 9 professionals, fostering their development through mentoring and performance management.
You will also coordinate cross-departmental collaboration, oversee quality assurance, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
Your role is critical in maintaining the operational excellence and technological advancement of our simulation infrastructure.
Qualifications
Successfully completed a degree in a natural sciences field or an equivalent qualificationExtensive experience in DevOps, CI/CD, virtualization, and IT system/server administrationProficiency in automating system installations, configurations, software deployment, and monitoringDeep understanding of DevOps processes and experience in process optimizationKnowledge of technical architecture standards, system and software architecture of complex IT or simulation systemsProficient in GitLab, Artifactory, Docker, Jenkins, Hyper-V, VMware, Windows, and Linux environmentsSkills in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, and experience with GrafanaSelf-motivated with excellent communication, conflict resolution, time management, and assertiveness skillsFluent in German and English, with willingness to undertake national and international travel
