Role Description The Platform Cloud Engineer is a full-time hybrid role based in Cracow, with flexibility to work from home part of the time.
This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure to support high-traffic sports betting and iGaming platforms.
Day-to-day work includes automating infrastructure provisioning, managing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting production issues.
The Platform Cloud Engineer collaborates closely with software developers, security specialists, and product teams to improve reliability, optimize costs, and enhance deployment workflows.
The role also involves documenting solutions, participating in architecture discussions, and contributing to continuous improvement of platform tools and practices.
Qualifications
Strong Software Development skills, such as proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.Solid Infrastructure skills, including experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), networking concepts, monitoring, and observability.Hands-on Cloud Computing experience with at least one major provider (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), including managing scalable, secure, and highly available services.Proficiency with Linux systems, including scripting, system administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in production environments.Experience working with Databases, including deployment, configuration, performance optimization, and monitoring of relational and/or NoSQL systems.Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and best practices for running services in distributed environments.Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly in English, and document architecture and operational procedures.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; experience in high-availability, high-traffic environments is a plus.
