We are seeking a skilled Python Developer (AI & Services) to build the next generation of tools that empower thousands of developers on the Espressif platform worldwide.
You will join a team focused on creating web services, tools, and AI-powered automation pipelines that allow Espressif engineers and customers to move faster, directly improving the developer experience from silicon to cloud.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Python tools and services for ESP-IDF and related frameworks (e.g., IDF Component Manager, ESP Component Registry).Create tools and services for automation using Large Language Models (LLMs): documentation assistants, AI-driven automations, and developer workflow tools (e.g., Espressif MCP Servers).Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.Lead the development of tools and web services with high-quality standards, strong test coverage, and clear documentation.Engage with the community on GitHub and Espressif forums.
Requirements:
5+ years in software engineering and 3+ years of professional Python development (CLI/tools/automation/backends).Deep understanding of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQLite) and ORM frameworks (SQLAlchemy).Experience with web service development (Flask/FastAPI).Hands-on experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI).Solid Linux and Docker skills.Excellent written and spoken English, with strong documentation skills (Markdown, Sphinx).
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with CMake, C/C++, and embedded development.Experience with frontend development (React/Vue).Experience with observability and monitoring (logs, metrics, dashboards).
