At Celtra, data is an important part of the products we build. We ingest and transform data from a range of internal and external sources and use it to power analytical features, APIs, and increasingly AI-powered experiences for our users. We’re looking for a Software Developer, Data to join our product engineering team. This is a software engineering role focused on building product-facing data systems and features end to end - from understanding and modeling the data to pipelines, backend services, and user-facing experiences. You’ll work across the stack, own features through production, and help us build reliable and maintainable systems that turn data into useful product capabilities. What tools do we use? Our data platform is centered around Snowflake and dbt, with Fivetran and custom integrations handling data ingestion. We use Terraform for infrastructure as code and CI/CD extensively to automate testing and delivery. Our application stack is built primarily with TypeScript, with Vue.js on the frontend. The team also builds backend services, analytical APIs, workers, and orchestration infrastructure. AI is also part of how we build software. We have an AI-assisted SDLC in place where engineers orchestrate coding agents to offload repetitive and tedious work, while staying responsible for technical decisions, quality, and outcomes. Your Responsibilities Own and build product features end to end, working across data pipelines, backend services, and frontend when needed, and taking them through to production.Understand the data and its sources, and design and evolve data models that are clear, maintainable, and reusable.Build and improve our data pipelines and infrastructure, from ingestion and transformation to orchestration, reliability, and production operation.Build analytical APIs, services, and frontend experiences that make data available to our products and users.Work with product stakeholders, clients, and vendors to understand needs, investigate problems, and turn them into practical technical solutions.Contribute to the evolution of our data platform, including data quality, governance, observability, and AI-powered capabilities. Qualifications Strong SQL and data modeling skills, with experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with layered transformation patterns such as raw/staging, intermediate, and curated data models.Solid software engineering fundamentals, with experience building and operating production systems and backend services.Good understanding of software engineering practices such as automated testing, CI/CD, and production observability.Ability to independently own and deliver moderately complex engineering work, from understanding the problem through implementation and production operation.Good verbal and written English communication skills. What brings extra points? Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran or other ingestion frameworks, Terraform, or TypeScript.Experience building distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, or orchestration systems.Experience designing data quality, observability, or governance systems.Experience building or improving development harnesses for coding agents and agentic workflows.Experience developing AI agents or systems that provide AI applications with access to structured company data.Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as Vue.js.
