Your opportunity As a Senior Mechanical Engineer Maritime, you will work on some of the most technically challenging and diverse shipbuilding projects in the industry. From submarines and frigates to floating offshore applications and special-purpose vessels, you will help engineer innovative mechanical systems, equipment arrangements, and piping layouts that push the limits of what is technically possible. You will act as a sparring partner to the Lead Engineer, supervise junior engineers, and play a key role in developing cutting-edge mechanical solutions. Your work will span feasibility studies, concept and basic design, 3D equipment layouts, and system integration across highly multidisciplinary projects. What you will do Develop and review mechanical system concepts, equipment arrangements, and piping layouts.Contribute to concept and basic engineering packages for naval, offshore, and special vessel projects.Perform mechanical engineering calculations and evaluate system performance and feasibility.Work closely with the Lead Engineer to define system concepts, design philosophy, and technical scope.Mentor and guide junior mechanical engineers, supporting their technical development.Collaborate with naval architects, structural engineers, and systems specialists to produce integrated designs.Participate in client, supplier, and classification society discussions to clarify engineering solutions.Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and development of mechanical engineering standards.Support shipyards during construction and commissioning by solving technical questions when needed.
