🚨 Hiring: Senior Networking Software Engineer 📍 Location: Bay area, california 💼 Experience: 10+ Years 📌 Duration: Long Term 🏢 Work Model: Hybrid/Onsite as required Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior Networking Software Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience developing high-performance networking software and a strong understanding of networking ASIC architectures, Linux internals, and hardware abstraction layers. The ideal candidate should have strong programming and debugging skills and experience building software for high-performance, distributed networking systems. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop high-performance networking software. • Work with networking ASICs and understand ASIC pipeline architectures and packet-processing systems. • Develop and optimize software components involving RIB, FIB, and HAL. • Work extensively with Linux OS internals and the Linux networking stack. • Perform Linux kernel-level development, modifications, and networking stack optimization. • Develop and maintain High Availability (HA) networking solutions. • Build and maintain Debian packages and build systems. • Develop software using C/C++/Go/Python. • Debug complex networking and system-level issues and perform performance optimization. • Work on high-performance and distributed networking systems. • Support networking software integration with hardware and networking platforms. • Work with containerized and virtualized networking environments where required. Required Skills • 10+ years of hands-on networking software development experience. • Deep understanding of ASIC pipeline architectures and networking hardware. • Strong Linux OS internals knowledge. • Hands-on experience with Debian build and packaging. • Strong understanding of the Linux kernel networking stack. • Strong programming skills in C/C++, with Go/Python experience. • Experience with RIB, FIB, HAL, and HA networking solutions. • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills. • Experience developing high-performance, distributed networking systems. Preferred Skills • Experience with DPDK. • Experience with P4. • Experience with BCM SDK or other hardware programming interfaces. • Experience with networking ASICs such as Broadcom, Marvell, Tofino, or similar platforms. • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. • Experience with virtual machines and virtualized networking. Education BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a senior networking software engineer with strong C/C++ + Linux + ASIC + networking stack + RIB/FIB/HAL experience, along with exposure to hardware programming interfaces such as DPDK, P4, or BCM SDK.
