Junior Software Developer

About the Opportunity: The Junior Developer role supports application development and maintenance across backend and front-end components, including databases, APIs, and integration workflows. The position contributes to building and sustaining software solutions that facilitate the organization’s technical objectives, offering an opportunity to develop skills in modern development practices within a collaborative environment. 3. Responsibilities: • Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining back-end and limited front-end application features. • Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and service integrations following standard API design principles. • Support database tasks such as querying, schema management, migrations, and data integration. • Develop scripts, services, integrations, and automation using Python. • Participate in Linux-based development and environment configuration. • Map backend data structures to front-end components using JavaScript, React, or similar technologies. • Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation. • Use version control systems (Git/GitHub) for collaboration, branching, and code reviews. • Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, and quality assurance. • Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and supporting production deployments. • Stay current with development, integration, and documentation best practices. 4. Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of experience with Python. • At least 2 years of software development experience using Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, or similar languages/frameworks. • At least 1 year of experience building or integrating RESTful APIs with OpenAPI or API design principles. • At least 1 year of experience with Git/GitHub source control and collaboration. • At least 1 year of experience working with relational or NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB. • At least 1 year of experience with Linux command-line environments. • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance. 5. Pay Range and Compensation Package: • The starting pay range for this remote role is $75,168 to $156,600, varying by location, experience, skills, and qualifications. • Eligibility for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. • Participation in company benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance with employer contributions, flexible spending or health savings accounts, life and AD&D insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401(k) program with company match. 6.
