About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead System Engineer (d/f/m) to join our dynamic team within Airbus Defence and Space GmbH.
In this pivotal role, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple sites, overseeing the decomposition of complex systems, requirements engineering, testing, and project planning.
Your leadership will ensure the successful delivery of projects for both German and international customers, contributing to innovative defense and space solutions.
Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer and line management, you will be responsible for making critical technical decisions, motivating your team, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of five years of experience in systems engineering, particularly within the defense or automotive sectors, is required.
Proven expertise in system breakdown, requirements engineering, and testing is essential.
Candidates should have experience leading technical teams and managing projects across multiple locations.
Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe is advantageous.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, organizational skills, and the ability to motivate teams are critical.
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting are also necessary.
The candidate should be adaptable to changing project demands and comfortable working under pressure, with a good understanding of defense industry standards and practices.
Responsibilities
