About the Role As a Full stack Software Engineer on the web team, you'll drive revenue and company growth by bringing one of the fastest-growing mobile apps to the web. By owning the end-to-end web stack and our internal tools and dashboard, you'll build our web infrastructure and create new opportunities for business growth. You'll deliver a web version of Rips, our collectibles trading card app, and set the foundation for future web and Android. By setting the standards for this new platform, you'll push the boundaries of what it means to be one of the fastest growing apps in our category. Base Salary: $200K – $400K Equity: Competitive equity Hiring Count: 2 – 3 openings Employment Type: Full-time Work Model: On-site (5 days/week) Work Location: San Francisco, CA Work Authorization: Must have legal authorization to work in the US Key Responsibilities: Establish our web platform, setting the foundation and standards for how we build future web and Android apps Utilize existing backend systems and infrastructure to create Rips for web in 3–6 months Define our team's best practices and standards for React (potential to work on React Native as well) Own all internal tools and our internal dashboard, making improvements that help the team be efficient and better use data to drive decision-making Partner with backend engineers to design APIs and data models, contributing to API designs and app performance Elevate UX with thoughtful motion, micro-interactions, and responsive design that feels native Mandatory Requirements: Seniority: 5+ years of experience in fullstack web engineering, with focus on React and TypeScript Work Experience: Shipped a 0→1 consumer web product at a startup (not pure Big Tech) Owned frontend platform/standards for a consumer-facing web app Hard Skills: Deep expertise in React and TypeScript (modern patterns, hooks, performance) Built polished UI with motion/animations and pixel-perfect Figma implementation Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to self-prioritize and ship fast in ambiguous, high-agency environments Tech Stack: React, TypeScript, JavaScript Nice-to-Have- Experience in real-time features, payments, or consumer gaming apps Experience partnering with backend engineers on API design and data models Traits to Avoid: Pure Big Tech engineers with no startup or 0→1 product experience Candidates who need heavy design/UX handholding — must have strong product sense
