Opportunity to work on a high-growth insurance technology platform, tackling complex integrations, product configuration, regulatory complexity, and scalable infrastructure across multiple European markets.

Description

About Insify We sell a mix of insurance products to small businesses (SME's) in the Netherlands, Germany and France, and we are in the process of scaling into more markets. Insurance infrastructure is brutal to get right. Every carrier has its own spec, every product its own underwriting rules, every country its own regulatory requirements. Most insurers throw people and process at that complexity - one-off integrations, workarounds on workarounds. We're building it differently: our insurance platform is where we consolidate that complexity, so that launching a new product or market becomes a configuration exercise rather than a rebuild. Insify is a high-growth scale-up backed by more than €40M from investors like Accel, Munich Re Ventures, and Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg. In five years we've expanded from the Netherlands into France and Germany. Our mission: become the European leader in AI-powered SME insurance. About The Role You would join the Insurance Platform team, responsible for everything that happens after a small business buys a policy from us. You would take technical leadership in that team, and shape how the platform handles the next product and the next country, on a system already carrying live policies and real customers. The team owns end-to-end policy lifecycle management (mid-term adjustments, automated renewals, cancellations, and payment flows) alongside the backoffice tooling that gives our operations and support teams full visibility and control. We work closely with the Claims Team, and with the Activation Teams that turn a lead into a paying customer. Product and engineering together are 30+ people. Every country has its own regulatory quirks, and every insurance product has unique data structures, lifecycle rules, and money flows. As we expand across Europe, our goal isn't to write custom glue code for every new launch. It's to design elegant, reusable platform abstractions. We're building a system where introducing a new country or product feels like snapping modular building blocks together. You're joining at an exciting inflection point: we have real traction, proven scale, and you get to directly build the foundational platform that powers our next wave of European growth. What You'll Be Doing Owning end-to-end the discovery and delivery of crucial platform features that enable our ability to scale as an insurance businessContinuously and relentlessly seeking opportunities to turn new product demands into platform capabilities and features that scale across countries and insurance product lines Challenging our ideas and bringing your own. We encourage each other to act this way, so you can expect the same from others What You'll Need 3+ years building complex web applications and services, with real production ownershipOwnership & impact instinct - when needed you go beyond your direct stack to get to results, be that data / backend / frontend You get real leverage out of AI in your daily work, and you can say where it helped, and where it hurt Strong fundamentals in domain-driven design & service oriented architecture Not all of the above are hard requirements. If you're strong on most of these and eager to grow into the rest, we'd still love to hear from you. Nice to have Experience building B2B products, especially in insurance & fintech Experience working on a product distributed across different country markets Strong observability instincts. You know where things will break, and can help others learn that too Our stack TypeScript across the board, running on AWS (IaaC), in a single monorepo. If you have not worked with all of it, that is fine. We care more about how you reason about systems than about which tools you have used before. We offer Competitive compensation that reflects responsibility and impact. For this role the range is €65,000 to €85,000. Trust and autonomy. You'll have real ownership, room to make decisions, and space to shape your role as Insify evolves.
