Our client, a global financial services organization, is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and support high-performance trading applications.
This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical, low-latency systems while collaborating with experienced engineering teams in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable C/C++ applications.Deliver software features from design through implementation and production support.Collaborate with architects, engineers, QA, and product stakeholders.Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical discussions.Ensure software meets security, quality, and performance standards.Identify opportunities to improve development processes and leverage AI-assisted development tools.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.Strong experience with C/C++ development on Unix/Linux platforms.Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases.Knowledge of messaging technologies (e.g., Solace, Protocol Buffers) and event-driven systems.Experience with Jira, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development.Strong understanding of software design principles, secure coding, and problem-solving.
Preferred
Experience with trading systems, capital markets, or financial services.Knowledge of low-latency or high-performance distributed systems.Experience with microservices, AWS, Docker, or other cloud technologies.Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, Kiro, or similar.
Compensation: $136,000 to $175,000 annually
Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
