About the Opportunity:
The Cloud Operations Engineer (2nd Shift, Weekend) role is integral to maintaining the operational success and uptime of the organization's cloud database platform.
This position involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents to ensure continuous service availability, with a focus on supporting government customers in FedRamp environments.
The role contributes directly to customer satisfaction and operational stability by managing live incidents and enhancing system processes.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with a global team to ensure uptime guarantees for customers
• Scale the operations team by implementing new processes and tools
• Design and deploy systems to reduce incident resolution time
• Monitor and detect customer-facing platform incidents
• Automate monitoring and troubleshooting tasks
• Diagnose incidents and determine resolution or escalation steps
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve management applications
• Inform leadership about major outages
• Participate in on-call rotations handling customer incidents

Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an on-call DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Operations engineer
• Expertise in Linux system administration and troubleshooting
• Experience with monitoring, system performance analysis, and reporting
• Knowledge of networking technologies such as DNS and TCP/IP
• Understanding of database operations and concepts
• Familiarity with AWS and other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure)
• Ability to write scripts or small programs for system problem-solving
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript
• U.S.
citizenship or national, with ability to work on U.S.
soil due to FedRamp requirements
• Willingness to participate in pager duty rotations including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work 2nd shift weekend hours (3pm - 12am EST; Saturday - Wednesday)
