We're hiring a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to design and build the backend systems behind a brokerage and capital markets platform — trading, order management, positions, settlement, funding, and risk.
You'll work at the intersection of financial engineering and modern software practice, partnering closely with a product and engineering team based overseas.
What You'll Do:
Design and own backend systems powering trading, order management, positions, and settlementMake architecture decisions built for market-driven scale, accuracy, and securityDrive root-cause analysis on production issues in a live trading environmentCollaborate daily with Product, Risk, Compliance, and cross-regional engineering teamsUse AI coding tools and agents throughout the dev lifecycle — coding, review, testing, debugging, documentationHelp establish AI-native engineering practices across the team
What You'll Need:
5+ years building backend systems in Java, C++, Go, Python, or similarProven experience with distributed, highly-available systemsStrong grasp of databases, APIs, messaging, caching, and concurrencyIndependent ownership from technical design through productionStrong cross-functional and cross-cultural communication skillsRegular, critical use of AI coding tools — not just relying on generated output
