Backend Developer Intern - ExploreDen **Location:** Nepal - Remote **Type:** Internship **Company:** ExploreDen Pty Ltd - Australian Travel Technology Company **Opportunity:** Potential paid/part-time or full-time role based on performance ExploreDen is looking for a motivated **Backend Developer Intern** to join our growing development team in Nepal. We are building a global travel platform with access to **3M+ hotels, 1M+ activities and experiences**, along with our own trip-planning technology. ### What you'll work on * Backend development for a real production travel platform * REST API development and third-party API integrations * Hotel and activity supplier APIs * Databases, caching and data optimisation * Authentication and user systems * Booking and payment-related backend workflows * Performance improvements and bug fixes * Working directly with our existing development team ### We're looking for * Basic knowledge of backend development * Understanding of APIs, databases and server-side development * Familiarity with **Node.js / JavaScript / TypeScript** or similar backend technologies * Git/GitHub knowledge * Good problem-solving skills * Willingness to learn and take responsibility * Students and recent graduates are welcome You **do not need extensive professional experience**. We're more interested in your technical foundation, ability to learn and genuine interest in building real products. ### What you'll get You'll gain hands-on experience working on a **live international travel technology platform**, rather than only practice projects.
