Forward Deployed Engineer (AI) NYC/SF - $200k - $300k + variable + meaningful equity at Series A Growing team, confidential for now, backed by top tier VCs, building agentic AI systems that sit inside how companies actually generate revenue rather than alongside it. Forward Deployed Engineer, but with genuine product ownership. You won't just be implementing against a fixed spec, you'll be working directly with the customers using the product and feeding what you learn back into what gets built. You'll write production code, design systems, and ship real technology, while spending enough time inside customer environments to understand where the product actually needs to go next. What you'll do: Build and deploy agentic systems, integrations, and automations that solve real revenue problemsPartner directly with go to market leaders, operators, and end users to understand how they actually workTurn messy, undefined customer requirements into deployed systems with measurable impactFeed what you learn on the ground back into core product direction, not just the services layerOwn outcomes end to end, from first conversation through deployment and adoption What we're looking for: 3+ years of relevant post college experienceStrong CS or software engineering background, proficient in Python, TypeScript, or similarReal curiosity about applying AI to commercial problems rather than research problemsStrong user empathy and the ability to earn trust with executives, operators, and engineers alikeAI native working style, using AI tools daily to build, analyze, and move fastComfortable working on site five days a week and spending significant time with customers
